– New construction of the Koblenz Municipal Area Computing Center (KGRZ) – Together with the local electrical installation company Elektro Thomas, we planned and supplied the entire energy supply for the new construction of the Koblenz Municipal Area Computing Center (KGRZ).
From the medium-voltage switchgear to the sub-distribution board – everything from a single source.
A strong focus was placed on the high availability of the power supply, which is extremely important for data centers.
Background
The Kommunale Gebietsrechenzentrum – KGRZ – is the IT service provider of the Koblenz city administration and is therefore an extremely important contact partner for ensuring the smooth and reliable running of all IT-supported municipal activities and is jointly responsible for the implementation of IT projects in the Koblenz city administration.
Task
KSV had the task of designing and implementing the power supply for the data center.
For this purpose, we designed the complete medium-voltage supply and implemented it up to the commissioning of the required Siemens 8DJH medium-voltage switchgear and the two transformer stations.
We also designed and manufactured the necessary low-voltage main distribution boards, installation distribution boards and sub-distribution boards.
These distributions were then installed by our client, the local electrical installation company Elektro Thomas.
